The college was established on 5th July, 1995 as degree College with classes of Arts and Commerce Faculty. The college was promoted to PG status with the opening of a new course in M.Sc Chemistry in 2022-23. Although P. G. classes in the Dept. of Home Science had started since 2006-2007 .
