HISTORY

This college was founded on 11th September, 1977 in a part of the fort. In this session only the first year of B.A. was run with the strength of 137 students. Commerce faculty was started in the session 1981 – 82 and Sanskrit subject was initiated in the session 1999 – 2000. In 1998–99 a well- furnished building for library was erected with the funding provided by the University Grant Commission, Delhi.  In the session 2001 – 02 the college was named ‘Master Adityendra Ji Government College, Deeg’ under the order of state government. The college has been accredited by NAAC in the session 2005–06.  English literature was started on graduation label under self-finance scheme in the session 2005–06 and sanction for starting science faculty was obtained from the state government during the session of 2007 – 08 for which practical labs accommodated with modern facilities were also built with the amount of Rs. 50, 00000 donated by the government. During 9th plan the extension of the new library building has been completed. The state government sanctioned science faculty in the session 2010-2011. In this session the first, second and third year classes in the science faculty are running with the approval of state government. With the joint cooperation of state government and college development committee the construction of ‘Radhakrishnan Sabhagar’ has been completed. The college has got ‘B’ grade in second accreditation by NAAC in July, 2016.
