Lal Bahadur Shastri Govt. College Kotputli is situated on NH 48 and established in 1962. This is the biggest co-ed college of the area having student strength 7500. Arts, Science and Commerce streams are available at graduation and post-graduation level in this college. There are 14 subjects at post-graduation and 17 subjects at graduation level. College is affiliated with University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. This college achieved 'B' grade in NAAC accreditation and has affiliation with UGC since 1979.
For inculcating the values and overall personality development of students, various co-curricular activities are being regularly organized, like sports, NSS, NCC, YDC, Rover & Rangering. Eco-club has been constituted in the college to keep the campus ecofriendly and lust green. Four gardens namely Harit Udhyan, Tulsi Gowda Udhyan, Chark Udhyan & Aranya Udhyan have been developed and maintained under NSS & Eco-club activities. To make the students aware about scientific and technological innovation and inventions, a science-club has been constituted in the college. IDEA Programm, Incubation Cell, Career Guidance and Placement Cells, Women cell etc. are working in the college for the inclusive development of the students.
