Women’s Cell

The primary aim of the Women Cell is to provide a safe and congenial atmosphere to all the girl students in the college. Concentrating on encouraging and empowering them, lectures are organized on women related issues like their legal rights, health, hygiene and sanitation, female infanticide, the importance of girl child, girl child education, women’s rights, food and nutrition, maintenance of a clean environment, family planning, problems of child marriage, etc. During Seminars, Workshops, and lectures they discuss, deliberate, and debate in order to enhance awareness. Using a diverse range of academic and cultural activities including talks by well-known professionals with special expertise in their respective fields, the Cell makes extra efforts in creating awareness about the gender disparity prevalent in society and tries to explore and suggest ways to counter it.

This cell is supposed to conduct activities like debates, essay competitions, seminars, extension lectures, workshops, presenting women role-models, conducting surveys, making studies about women’s issues, making girls interact with successful women entrepreneurs, arranging motivational lectures, etc.
