ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

ABOUT BRANCH :

The electronics engineering branch was established in 1979 in this college. It has made significant progress since its inception and attained the status of a pioneering department in the college. The earlier intake was 20 students per annum, but keeping in view of the demands it has been raised to 40 students per annum in the year 2007.

VISION of the department is to produce quality diploma engineers capable of providing sustainable solutions for complex problems and promoting cost effective, indigenous technology for all sections of society.

In this branch, the students learn about core electronics and communication engineering subjects like digital electronics and logic design, fundamentals of communication engineering, electronic devices and circuits, power electronics, integrated circuits, control systems and microprocessor are just few to mention.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES  :

  1. Government and its bodies :-An electronics engineer can get a job in Central Government, State Governments and their sponsored corporations in public enterprises and the private organizations like All India Radio, Indian Telephone Industries, MTNL, National Physical Laboratories, AIR, Civil Aviation Department; Post and Telegraph Department; Co-ordination Department, National Physical Laboratory, Bharat Electronics Limited, Development Centers in various States etc.
  2. Electronics Core Company :-Core companies offering jobs to Electronics and Communication Engineers: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Intel, Samsung Electronics, Sony, Toshiba, Philips Semiconductors, Texas Instruments, LG Electronics, Nokia, AMD, CISCO, Nvdia, HP and IBM are just few to mention.
  3. Self Employment :-Electronic Engineers can start their own business  by manufacture electronic parts, goods and components. He can also start a repair or assembly shop for television receivers, amplifiers, recording equipment etc. Since electronics is a intensive hard work and talent -oriented field, it gives high returns for a given initial investment. Loan facilities are offered by banks and Small Scale Industries Development Corporations for starting a business.
  4. IT Industries:-IT Industries offering very good job in the field of Hardware Interfacing, coding, System analysis, data analysis etc.
  5. Research & Developments:- An Electronics engineer also has wide scope in the area of atomization ,miniaturization, power saving, capacity enhancement etc .of existing system.
