WOMEN CELL

The objective behind the formation of Women’s Cell is to address all the issues faced by women in college in a speedy and efficient manner. Women’s cell provides a common platform for all women to raise their problems, as well as, seek solutions from their counterparts. Sessions are run where girls are made aware of their rights as well as duties. Information about various support structures, by the government is also dispensed. It helps in making women in college feel comfortable and confident in their surroundings. Women Cell addresses the problems of lady staff members and girl students effectively. There is also a Women Anti-Harassment Cell for lady employees. The cell includes the principal, three nominated members from teaching staff and two from non-teaching staff. Grievance, if any, is discussed by the cell and remedies are effected. The grievances/ complaints are promptly attended to and resolved effectively through various committees formed by the institute authorities for promoting better relationship amongst stakeholder.

Apart from teaching, a number of programs are organized round the year to sensitize the faculty and students on institutional social responsibilities. Women Cell organize different programs and conduct activities for this purpose.
