CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENT

 

  1. Teachers shall be greeted appropriately with Good Morning Sir/Miss or Good Afternoon Sir/Miss and a  Thank you Sir/Miss when the teacher leaves the class room.
  2. No student shall enter or leave the class room when the session is on without the permission of the teacher concerned.
  3. Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline and dignified manner of behavior inside as well as outside the College campus. They shall abide by the rules and regulations of the College and should act in a way that highlights the discipline and esteem of the College.
  4.  All the students are expected to be present in the class well -within time and late coming will attract a fine of Rs 100. Late coming will also result in loss of attendance for the corresponding hour.
  5. All the students shall wear their identity cards, well displayed. Identity badge is a public document and any teaching staff and non teaching staff shall have the right to peruse it. Denial of that alone invites disciplinary action.
  6. Students are expected to maintain silence in the academic buildings to maintain the decorum and, any deviant behavior such as hooting, whistling, loitering etc. will be treated as an instance of indiscipline.
  7. It is strongly advised to refrain from activities such as scribbling or noting on walls, door or furniture which could deface the college and destroy the academic ambiance.
  8. Students are not permitted to arrange any unauthorized celebrations and decorations of any magnitude in the campus.
  9. Students who intend to represent the college in intercollegiate events shall take prior permission from the concerned Principal and the selection will be based on parameters such as academic performance, attendance, character, existing academic pressure and competence of the student in the proposed event for participation.
  10. The College Union will be formed as per Lyngdoh Committee recommendations approved by the Honorable Supreme Court of India.
  11. Political activity in any form is not permitted in the College campus. Unauthorized meetings, propaganda work, processions or fund collections are forbidden within the College, and outside the college.

 

 

CODE OFCONDUCT FOR NON-TEACHING STAFF AND SUPPORITNG STAFF

  1. He/she must respect and maintain the hierarchy in the Administration.
  2. Must not use unauthorized person stop perform official duties.
  3. Respect by mutual respect, trust and confidentiality.
  4. Dignity by treating students by care and kindness.
  5. Being supportive and cooperate with other staff members
  6. Responsibility by meeting the required standards forevery assigned task.
  7. Integrity by being honest in words and actions.
  8. Loyalty to the College by punctual and reliable in all duties

 

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE FACULTY

  1.  A teacher shall not discriminate against a student on political grounds or for reasons of race, caste, religion, language or sex or for other reason of an arbitrary or personal nature and shall not incite students/teachers against other teachers, colleagues or administration/Governing body of the College and the University.
  2. A teacher shall not refuse to carry out the academic and administrative decision taken by the Principal/Governing body.
  3. A teacher shall have a freedom of thought and expression. He shall not misuse the facilities or forum of the College/ University.
  4. A Teachers shall not accept private tuitions. He shall not conduct /participate in private coaching classes directly or indirectly.
  5. A teacher shall not indulge in , directly or indirectly, any malpractice or unfair means in teaching or examination/ administration.
  6. A teacher shall not furnish incorrect information regarding his qualifications, age, etc. in respect of his appointment/promotion.
  7. Your behaviour and professional conduct must set a good example to all students
  8. Avoid using inappropriate or offensive language
  9. Teacher may not engage in an inappropriate relationship with a student as this would be a clear breach of trust. Professional boundaries must be respected and sexual or inappropriate emotional conduct is never acceptable
  10. A teacher should participate in extension, co-curricular and extracurricular activities including the community services.
