Dr Neelam Yadav Prof, Plant Physiology did her BSc & MSc (Botany) from Agra College, Agra University. She did her PhD (Plant Physiology) in 1988 from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. She joined as Assistant Professor (Plant Physiology) in  NARP in the year 1991  at S K N College of Agriculture, a constituent college of Rajasthan Agricultural University (presently named as SKRAU), Bikaner. She was selected as Associate Professor in the year 1996 within four & half years of her working as Assistant professor. Her area of research has been physio-biochemical basis of drought & salinity stress and its management using growth regulators in crop plants particularly wheat, chickpea and moth bean. Isolation of salinity tolerant Bacterium from saline field of SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner has been the one of best research achievement in her career. The bacterium was characterized as Bacillus Coagulanse and deposited in Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh. Subsequently salinity tolerant gene was also isolated from this bacterium. She has 20 years experience of research and teaching Plant Physiology courses to post-graduate students and guided five M Sc students as major advisor. She has 32 publications to her credit.

She has taken training on "Use of Mass-spec for protein sequencing and identification" at Lerner Research Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, USA during December 2002-April 2003. She was selected as Post Doctoral Fellow in the year 2003 at Cleveland Clinic Foundation USA. She has been In-Charge of Indo-Australian Collaborative Research Project “Management of White grubs in Peanut Cropping Systems in Asia and Australia” from December 1999 to June 2001. She got selected as Professor in May 2007 at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut where she also served as Head, Department of Biochemistry & Physiology, and College of Biotechnology. She has visited overseas laboratories in Germany, Japan & USA. She was assigned the responsibility of Director Research on Oct 6, 2016 and continued on this post till June 30, 2016. During this period she got 18 projects worth Rs 23 Corer under RKVY funding from the GOR. She is working on the post of Director Prioritization, Monitoring & Planning   from July 1, 2016.
