Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Skill Hub

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

Launched on 11th November 2014, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship programme under the Ministry of Education (MOE). This initiative connects Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) with villages to contribute to their economic and social betterment using their knowledge base.

Mission of UBA

• Develop necessary mechanisms and proper coordination among educational institutes, implementation agencies, and grassroots stakeholders to enable effective field-level interventions.
• Participate in sustainable holistic development of rural clusters using local resources, creating employment opportunities, and harnessing government schemes.
• Reorient academic curricula and research programs in higher educational institutes to align with local needs, enhancing student knowledge about village and societal issues.

Partner Villages

This partnership aims to foster understanding of the developmental agenda, stakeholder interactions, community dialogue, and the design of societal objectives to improve developmental outcomes. Community engagement relies on practices like reaching out, informing, consulting, involving, collaborating, and empowering.
